Ronaldo gives Brazil a scare
Brazil striker Ronaldo has undergone medical examinations at a clinic in Frankfurt after complaining of headaches and dizziness. The 29-year-old Real Madrid star, who suffered similar problems before the 1998 World Cup final against France in Paris, has been given the all-clear by medical staff.
Ronaldo was booed off the field after giving a disappointing display during Brazil's 1-0 Group F win over Croatia in Berlin on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian Football Federation's website said: "Ronaldo complained that he was feeling dizzy on Wednesday and was admitted to a medical clinic for a check-up and further examinations. No problems were found and Ronaldo has been passed fit to continue training."
Brazil boss Carlos Alberto Parreira has vowed to faith with Ronaldo for Sunday evening's clash with Australia and said: "Ronaldo has not been playing for the last two months and has had only two friendlies so it was natural he felt a bit heavy as it was very hot, but I'm sure he will improve as the tournament goes on.
"Ronaldo will start against Australia because he needs to gain pace, and he is a decisive player."

The way Ronaldo played in that first game scared me too. He played like a sloth. It was awful. Coach says he shall start picking the pace in the next match. I hope he's right.
