If I've only got two weeks to see Brazil, what are must sees? Do you know about the safety in traveling in Brazil, as far as crime goes and is it fairly easy to communicate?
Must see: If you like beaches, go to
Florianopolis (SC), Angra / Buzios (RJ), Natal (RN), and Fernando de Noronha.
As far safety, as long as you doesn't show to be an easy target, you are ok. A good idea is to make friends with locals, they will be more than welcome to help you and give you tips where to go out or have a nice dinner.
As far communication, the average Brazilian only speak Portuguese, however most of them will understand spanish. English unfortunately is more common among high income class.
Maybe an idea to check out...
